A London-based “buy-and-build” global cannabinoid group launched this week after its acquisition of Denver-based CBD brand Press Pause, a brand focused on developing CBD products for women.
Tenacious Labs, co-founded by CEO Nicholas Morland and CCO Adrian Clarke, aspires to become a leading consumer-centric global cannabinoid group.
Morland said the company’s first acquisition of Press Pause is a “major milestone” in its strategy, providing it with an established direct-to-consumer brand in the U.S. Terms of cash-and-stock acquisition were not disclosed.
Press Pause co-founder Dawn Stable joins Tenacious Labs as Head of Pause Lifestyle Brands, to drive international growth and create products in line with the brand’s mission to promote the importance of self-care.
Tenacious Labs said it will announce further acquisitions “in the coming days,” supported by the launch of two new UK-focused brands – Walker & Morland, a CBD brand focused on chronic pain and anxiety, and Hoo Raa, a CBD brand designed to manage moods.
Tenacious Labs plans to champion “scientific rigor, effective regulation and product quality.”
“As consumer attitudes to cannabinoids change, we see enormous potential for value creation within the industry,” Clarke said.
